Today marks my first step to close the skill gap I currently have, which is SEO/Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager. I figured that since I don’t have a website to play around with, might as well create one using WordPress. This morning, I just bought the domain and the hosting from Hostinger, and still trying to figure out everything. What to even do when YouTube tutorials have different UI compared to what I see on my dashboard?
I spent several hours tinkering the template, navigation menu and whatnot, slowly making sense of my bearings. Did you know that to edit posts you have to select Posts menu, not the Pages? I sure am not earlier! Hopefully, by the end of this week, I will finish basic pages and the Google Analytics figured out, since I have some experience with it.
Last week, I read an article from Search Engine Land about the future (present, even!) of SEO, seems like I also need to dust off my socials, and trying my hands on YouTube, just to have a holistic view of the current digital marketing landscape.
That’s it for my first post. Cheers!
